I have a lesson that my Father God, the Lord Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit gave to me, and I want to give it to each of you. In 2014, months before October 18, 2014, I had a desire to go see the Musical production called “Moses” at “Sight and Sound Theatres” in Lancaster County, PA.
For those of you who might not know, there are 2 “Sight and Sound Theatres” in the U.S. – one in Lancaster County, PA, one in Branson, Missouri. The productions always teach a Biblical story. They have beautiful music that I know is created by the Holy Spirit, beautiful voices singing, and beautiful costumes. The set designs even go up on each of the sides of the theatre so that you feel like you are totally immersed in the location where the story takes place. It is better than any production you might see in New York. The actors and actresses use live animals too that even come up the aisles and join the rest of the cast on stage. Since Covid 19, they now even live stream their shows. The theatre is enormous inside and out, and I have to admit that when I previously gave this lesson to others in person, I have overestimated the number of seats it holds. I now know that it has about 2,128 seats. If you ever go there and see the enormity of the building you will understand how I could overestimate that amount. I’m not being paid for saying these things nor am I endorsing every show that they may do. You should always ask the Lord before going to or watching any production of any kind or clicking on anything on your computer.
So, if you are listening to this recording and have heard me use larger figures in the past, then please forgive my overestimation.
Anyway, to move on with this lesson – I had the desire to see this show called “Moses”, but did not lift up one of those prayers “Lord, if it’s in your will…” I just let it go, because I don’t just spend my money willy nilly. The Lord is my CEO and CFO, not only of this ministry, but also of my own personal finances. I can do a lot of good with my money. I can help to feed, shelter, and clothe people and when compared with the luxury of using my money for a theatre ticket – it’s not that important to me. I am a teacher and I had the money to buy the ticket, which at that time was about $62.00, but I just didn’t want to use my money for that purpose WITHOUT the Lord’s permission, so again – I let the thought go by.
On October 18, 2014, which was a Saturday, the Lord woke me and said, “Anita, I know you have had a desire to see “Moses” at “Sight and Sound” but haven’t wanted to spend the money – today I am taking you there. I was surprised, because usually if someone wants to buy a ticket for this theatre on a Saturday they have to buy tickets months in advance. People come from north, south, east, and west by the bus loads and in private vehicles to this theatre, so my ability to get a ticket at the last minute would be VERY LIMITED. When you THINK God is speaking to you, you need to test the spirits to see if it is God. Some people will tell you to listen to a still small voice, but I have news for you – Satan can speak in a small voice too. So, you need to test the spirits like it says in:
1 John 4:1-4 New International Version
“4 Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2 This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, 3 but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world. 4 You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.” (NIV)
AND IN
1 Corinthians 12:2-3 New International Version
“2 You know that when you were pagans, somehow or other you were influenced and led astray to mute idols. 3 Therefore I want you to know that no one who is speaking by the Spirit of God says, “Jesus be cursed,” and no one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit.” (NIV)
Satan and his troops will try a variety of ways to sneak into your life through a conversation with you. They might make those biblical statements I just read correctly, but then God forces them to include “I’m a demon, devil, or unclean spirit.”
Sometimes after asking who it is – things suddenly go silent. THAT is definitely the enemy. Sometimes they may not say “God” with a “d” at the end. Instead, they might say “Ga” without the D at the end.
Sometimes they can even try to make the same statements as I just read, but they will say “chrise” instead of Christ with the “t” at the end. They will say “lore” instead of “Lord” with a “d” on the end. So, when a voice speaks to you – you need to say, “In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, who are you?” It’s like in the old days when people would say, “Who goes there?” God will answer like the scripture says and then continue with what He has to say to you. You must listen carefully, because a person can easily be deceived. This is what a Prophet like myself learns early on, so I hope it helps all of you. If the enemy is talking to you, that means you have some type of sin that you need to deal with and it’s best to fast, pray, and seek God’s face as to what those sins are. I would also suggest never using just the name “Jesus,” but instead using “Lord Jesus” when referring to Christ – even in worship music. It is His title – that title has power. People have unfortunately named their children “Jesus” and we don’t bow our knee to them. So, we do have to differentiate. These are some discernment tips to help you.
In the case of this testimony, like I said, I tested the spirits to see if it was God and felt that it was. I got on the computer and looked for a ticket and they were sold out. So, I looked up to the Lord and said, “Lord, you told me to go, but there aren’t any tickets. The Lord spoke to me and said, “I know what that computer says Anita, but what did I tell you to do?” I said, “You told me to go.” The Lord said, “Then go.” At the time I was living in Maryland, and it would have taken me 3 ½ hours to get there. I wasn’t going to drive that number of hours unless I was sure it was God. So, I thought maybe they didn’t update the website or something. I got on the phone and called the theatre instead. I asked, “Do you have any tickets for today’s shows.” The young woman said, “Ma’am, this is a Saturday and we are completely sold out. There is no way you are going to get a ticket for today’s show.”
I thanked her and hung up. I again looked up again and said, “Lord, you told me to go, but she said they don’t have any tickets for today’s shows.” The Lord again said, “I know what she said Anita, but what did I tell you to do?” I replied, “You said go.” He again stated, “Then go.” So, once again, I tested the spirits to see if it was God and was sure that it was. So, I began getting dressed for my “Date with God.” I drove the 3 ½ hours and arrived at a little after 4:30 in the afternoon. I looked up at the monitor that showed the show times and the 4:30 show had just gone in. Now, remember I knew I was supposed to buy a ticket, but I had no idea who I was supposed to buy it from. So, I went to the ticket counter and there was a young woman on the left and an older woman on the right. Hours had passed since I had called, so I thought maybe someone had turned in a ticket or something, because I didn’t know that right on the bottom of the tickets it says there are “no refunds, transfers, or exchanges.” I said, “Do you have any tickets for today’s show?” The young woman on the left – recognized my voice from the phone and I could see the gears turning in her head. She was thinking, “Lady, why did you come here? I told you hours ago that we didn’t have any tickets.” She took a deep breath and again said emphatically, “Ma’am, this is a Saturday, we are completely sold out, and you are NEVER going to get a ticket for today’s show.” I said calmly, “Well, I’m standing, because the Lord commanded me to come. I tested the Spirits to see if it was God, I’m sure that it was, so I obeyed, and came.” Right about then, I got the roll of the eyes from BOTH of them. It was obvious that they thought that I had some kind of mental health issues or something – which was very demeaning. I want to add here that I would not advise you to EVER do that to ANYONE – no matter what, because you never know how God is going to use someone.
I was a respected teaching professional. I have a master’s degree in educational administration. I’m qualified to be an administrator at a school or college, and it was very demeaning to be treated that way. I HAVE forgiven them, but I’m teaching you not to do what they did. I ignored what she said and turned around to walk away from the counter. The Lord spoke to me at that moment in a clear and audible voice and said, “Anita, don’t pay any attention to that.” I felt safe and I said, “Okay, Lord.” Now, remember, I have no idea how I’m going to get this ticket. What did those women know? I could buy it from someone who had a family member who got sick and couldn’t make it and they would want me to buy the ticket from them. Remember, at the time, I didn’t know the tickets were non-refundable and THAT I would NEVER HAVE been able to buy it at the counter. All I knew was God told me to come. The next show wasn’t until 6:30 p.m. so I’m a friendly person, I went to the gift shop and looked around. I made conversation with the people who were sitting on the stone walls in the inner waiting area. I bought a bottle of water and here is evidence of that purchase on October 18th, 2014 in my check book, “Sight and Sound” $2.00. I waited and the closer it got to the 6:30 time the more uncomfortable I felt about it. The theatre emptied out for the 4:30 show. I had gone to this theatre years before, so I already knew there is always a short wait between shows and then they usually call for the elderly and disabled to go into the theatre first. The call came, and I looked up and said to the Lord, “Lord, I hope I got this right.” Within only a few moments, the older lady at the ticket booth used her pointer finger to call me over. BOTH ladies were choking back tears, and had blood shot eyes, because of the way they had treated me and the LORD brought conviction of that sin. The older lady had a piece of paper in her hand. She said slowly, “This, is a blessing ticket.” I said, “What?” She repeated, “This is a blessing ticket.” So, not only did the Lord get me a ticket, but it was a FREE TICKET! I have to admit even I was amazed and started to tear up. Now, you know I got the ticket, but that IS NOT the end of this lesson and testimony.
THIS IS THE TICKET. I know it looks worn out now, but I have pulled it out and put it in my purse so many times to give this lesson to other people that it began to be torn. A couple of years ago, I decided to laminate it with contact paper, but trying to do it by myself wasn’t easy and this area in the center turned over, so please excuse its appearance. You can see it’s dated Saturday, October 18, 2014. The paper curled over in the center when I attempted to laminate it – This is a 4. My seat was on the center balcony, but I know that section has been changed since then, because remember this was taking place PRE-COVID. I remember it was a longer row and now it seems to be divided into shorter sections in the center instead. Actually, that makes more sense, because if you need to go to the bathroom you have to inconvenience too many people.
With their CURRENT seating arrangement, the number of this row QQ is the next to last row from the back and that was not the case then. There were MANY rows behind my row that day, so the number of seats in a row and their arrangement DID change since then.
Let’s continue, I sat down in my seat and hundreds of people were pouring into their seats. Many seats were still empty to my right and left. There were about 4 or 5 people of Middle Eastern heritage at the very end of the row on my left and ironically, about 4 or 5 people of Middle Eastern heritage at the very end on my right. I looked down at the ticket, and saw the name on it – “Jim” and I thought that this last name was Middle Eastern and pronounced “Fark- Q- harson”, because of the Farsi language spoken in Iran. I found out afterwards that it is really Scottish and pronounced quickly Fark – ah – son. So, as people were pouring in, I looked over at the Middle Eastern people on my right at the end of the row and thought, “I wonder if THEY gave me the ticket?” I got up and walked over to them and said, “Is this man in your party?” They shook their heads “No.” While I was up, I thought I might as well go to the Middle Eastern people at the end of the row on my left. I asked them the same question. They ALSO shook their heads “No.” I went back and sat in my seat. A few minutes later a young man sat next to me on my right. I thought, “This has got to be the guy. Maybe his date got sick and couldn’t come and he turned the ticket in at the last minute to give it away for free. So, I asked him, “Are you THIS man?” pointing at the name on the ticket. He said, “No, I got one too!” I said, “How did you get yours?” He said, “I’m here on a business trip from Philly, the Lord commanded me to come, and I got a free ticket.” NOW, I’M TRULY AMAZED! Right about then, the show was about to begin so I had no opportunity to speak to the young man. I wish I had gotten his name so I could find out what happened in HIS life, because something miraculous happened in mine!
I realized that this lesson was not about the ticket AT ALL – it was about my OBEDIENCE to the Lord, because if I HAD listened to the young woman on the phone I wouldn’t have driven there in the first place and I wouldn’t have gotten the ticket -would I? If I HAD listened to her at the counter, I wouldn’t have gotten the ticket then either. I would have gotten in my car and driven home. BUT I KNEW IT WAS GOD WHO COMMANDED ME TO COME AND I STOOD ON THAT FACT AND I GOT THE BLESSING OF THE TICKET. NOW HOLD ON, BECAUSE THERE IS MORE TO THIS THAN MEETS THE EYE!
I was so overwhelmed by this that the ticket didn’t matter to me anymore, seeing the show didn’t matter to me either. So, I closed my eyes during the first half of the show and worshiped the Lord silently to myself. I DID open my eyes to see the parting of the Red Sea, because He had parted the Red Sea for me, didn’t He? I again closed my eyes and began to silently worship Him for the second half of the show.
At the end of the show, they always have a cast member who comes out and leads the people in a prayer of repentance to receive Christ. The cast member was the man who played Pharoah. He said the prayer and then he had a word for me from the Lord and he called me BY NAME. I was so shocked, I gripped the seat of my chair and said, “Oh my God, he just called me by my name!” If you ask me what he said, I do not remember, I was so shocked by the experience itself. As I started to leave with the other people the Lord spoke to me again in a clear and audible voice. He said, “Anita, I don’t want you to leave the building yet. Get behind these other people, but don’t leave the theatre. Go down to the lower level instead and when you get down there – all of the cast members will be on the lower level in front of the stage. I have a word for you to give to them.” I obeyed and went down to the lower level and just like the Lord said, the whole cast was down front. Now think about that. They had to have had good enough discernment to obey the Holy Spirit’s voice too. Now, I have already been trained in this. When the Lord wants you to speak to someone, He usually DOES NOT tell you what He wants you to say to that person. You have to obey Him in the FIRST part to get to the SECOND part. It’s like when Christ told the man in John 5:8 ““Get up! Pick up your mat and walk.”” (NIV) If he hadn’t obeyed in the first part – he wouldn’t have gotten his healing. So anyway, I headed down this long aisle and on the way the Lord gave me a revelation of the message I was supposed to give to the cast and I gave it. I couldn’t also resist telling them about the miracle of the ticket and then I turned to the young man who called me by name and I said, “YOU called me by name.” He said, “Oh, you must be Anita!” I said, “I am.” We exchanged pleasantries, I said goodbye and left.
After I got in the car and started home, I started to think. I said to the Lord, “LORD, WHAT ABOUT THE EMPTY SEATS?” BECAUSE NO ONE HAD SAT IN ALL OF THOSE SEATS BETWEEN THE YOUNG MAN ON MY RIGHT AND THE MIDDLE EASTERN PEOPLE ON THE RIGHT END. NO ONE HAD SAT IN ALL THE EMPTY SEATS BETWEEN ME AND THE MIDDLE EASTERN PEOPLE ON MY LEFT AT THE END OF THE ROW. REMEMBER, THAT WOMAN AT THE TICKET COUNTER HAD SAID THEY WERE ALL SOLD OUT. THE LORD SPOKE TO ME AND SAID, “ANITA, I CALLED SOMEONE TO SIT IN EACH OF THOSE EMPTY SEATS AND ONLY 2 PEOPLE OBEYED ME – YOU AND THAT YOUNG MAN.” The Lord later told me that He had commanded this man, obviously of some wealth, to buy a block of tickets and the Lord had him send the tickets back electronically just prior to show time to be given away freely. It was not only a test of obedience for the people who were called to sit in them, but also a test of the ladies at the counter. I’m glad I passed my test.
A few years ago, while evangelizing and after giving this lesson to some people, the Lord spoke to me and said, “Anita, don’t you remember what happened after I gave you the ticket lesson?” I said, “No, Lord.” He said, “A few months after I gave you the ticket, I called you into ministry.” He was right. I got the ticket on October 18, 2014, and I was called into ministry and started this organization in January of 2015. I was 60 at that time.
SO, GOD HAS A WORD FOR HIS PEOPLE. THERE ARE NO LIMITS AS TO AGE – YOUNG OR OLD, GENDER, ETHNIC ORIGIN, OR ANYTHING AS TO WHEN YOU CAN BE CALLED INTO DOING SOMETHING THAT GOD HAS FOR YOU TO DO FOR HIM. MOSES WAS 80 YEARS OLD AND AARON WAS 83 WHEN THEY WERE BOTH CALLED TO SPEAK TO PHAROAH (EXODUS 7:7) GOD WILL USE EVERYTHING YOU’VE PREVIOUSLY LEARNED TO HELP OTHERS. IF YOU ARE YOUNG, GOD WILL TRAIN YOU AND THAT TRAINING MAY START OUT SMALL OR IT COULD BE LARGE. WHAT GOD HAS FOR YOU TO DO ALONG THE WAY MAY CHANGE OVER TIME AND LIKE I SAID – HE WILL USE EVERYTHING YOU’VE PREVIOUSLY LEARNED. THE LORD MIGHT CALL YOU TO START A BUSINESS, TO DEVELOP A PATENT FOR SOMETHING, TO MANUFACTURE IT AND SELL IT. He may call you to a certain trade, to go to a certain college, to study a specific area of study, to apply for a certain scholarship, call you to a mission field, or to start an organization. Whatever it is, He will give you a hunger for it, a desire to do it, and a love for it, that you will not be able to resist. He will also give you provision for it. It will always be good for you and for others to help them in some way. It will never cause harm to ANYONE. Do not begrudge what seem to be small beginnings though, because God can do amazing miraculous things when you walk in obedience to Him. I can give you amazing testimonies of what He has done!
Now I want to warn you in advance. There might be some people who might say, “Oh God would NEVER call you to do that!” There may be naysayers, but if you know for certain that God has told you to do something, you don’t listen to them, you listen to God, and there will ALWAYS be a blessing that comes from it.
Now, at about this point in my testimony some people will cry – both men and women. Sometimes they are thinking about all the times God told them to do something, they DIDN’T OBEY, and they missed the blessing. Sometimes they are thinking, “Well, if God could do that for her – He could also do it for me.” Sometimes they have already been given the calling they are to follow, and GOD IS LAUNCHING THEM INTO THEIR DESTINIES. That’s why I always have that ticket in my purse ready to give it to whoever God calls me to give it to. TWO PEOPLE WHO HAVE RECEIVED THIS LESSON HAD THE SAME BIRTHDAY AS THE DATE ON THE TICKET! I ALWAYS LOVE GIVING THIS LESSON! TODAY, I GIVE IT TO ALL THOSE WHO WILL LISTEN. BELIEVE ME – IT IS NO ACCIDENT THAT YOU ARE HEARING IT NOW! ALL OF YOU NEED TO SEEK GOD’S FACE CONCERNING WHAT GOD WANTS YOU TO DO FOR HIM, NO MATTER YOUR AGE – YOUNG OR OLD. I WANT TO THANK MR. JIM FARQUHARSON, WHEREVER YOU ARE, FOR YOUR OBEDIENT GIFT TO CHRIST AS WELL, BECAUSE WHAT YOU GAVE HAS NOT ONLY HELPED TO LAUNCH ME INTO MINISTRY, BUT HAS ALSO HELPED TO LAUNCH OTHERS INTO THEIR DESTINIES IN CHRIST AS WELL.
I’m going to say a prayer and when I say it, I’m going to use the pronoun “we” so that all you have to do is say “Amen” to it to receive the Lord Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.
Father God,
We confess all the times and ways we’ve used our spirits, souls, and bodies, minds, wills, and emotions in opposition to the Lord Jesus the Christ – His kingdom, His Word, and His will, either knowingly or unknowingly. We repent, and we renounce, all evil forces that have attached themselves to those sins. We ask that you tear down every and all evil strongholds, break every evil yoke, tie, and curse, and cleanse us of all unrighteousness. Lord Jesus Christ, we believe that you are the Son of God and that you died on the cross to save us from our sins. We believe in your resurrection, and your resurrection life for ourselves. We ask that you come into our hearts – into our lives – as our Lord and our Savior. We ask for the baptism of the Holy Spirit, and the baptism by Holy fire. We ask that you guide and direct our paths, protect us all the days of our lives, and help us to fulfill YOUR plans for our lives in Christ Jesus. We ask that you stop what needs to be stopped, destroy what needs to be destroyed, change what needs to be changed, create what needs to be created, and keep what needs to be kept. We ask that nothing would be added to or taken away from your plans for our lives in Christ Jesus. We thank you Lord Jesus, we believe that we’ve already received the answers to our prayers. In the MIGHTY name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
