LET’S COUNT, THE CHURCHES SAY CHRIST WAS CRUCIFIED ON A FRIDAY. CAN THIS BE TRUE?
FRIDAY TO SATURDAY IS ONE DAY. SATURDAY TO SUNDAY MORNING IS ONLY A PARTIAL DAY!

The word “Easter” in the Greek means “Passover.” “EASTER” and “RESURRECTION SUNDAY” ARE TWO DIFFERENT THINGS!
THIS IS THE DEFINITION OF THE WORD “EASTER:”

“I. the paschal sacrifice (which was accustomed to be offered for the people’s deliverance of old from Egypt)
II. the paschal lamb, i.e. the lamb the Israelites were accustomed to slay and eat on the fourteenth day of the month of Nisan (the first month of their year) in memory of the day on which their fathers, preparing to depart from Egypt, were bidden by God to slay and eat a lamb, and to sprinkle their door posts with its blood, that the destroying angel, seeing the blood, might pass over their dwellings; Christ crucified is likened to the slain paschal lamb

“PASSOVER” OR “EASTER” IS THE DAY OF THE CRUCIFIXION NOT THE RESURRECTION!
CHRIST GAVE HIS BODY AS A BLOOD SACRIFICE ON THE PASSOVER. HE IS OUR PASSOVER LAMB. PASSOVER BEGAN AT THE EVENING OF THE LAST SUPPER AND CONTINUED THROUGH THE CRUCIFIXION, THEN CHRIST WAS PUT IN THE TOMB, AND THEN DARKNESS CAME WHICH CREATED A NEW DAY. THE DAY THAT FOLLOWED WAS THE FIRST DAY OF THE FEAST OF UNLEAVENED BREAD. A DAY WHEN NO ONE COULD WORK.
SO IF YOU WANT TO REFER TO THE RESURRECTION – YOU SHOULD CALL IT “RESURRECTION SUNDAY” NOT “EASTER.”
When speaking about communion to his congregation the Apostle Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 5:6-8
“6 Your glorying is not good. Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump? 7 Therefore [a]purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, since you truly are unleavened. For indeed Christ, our Passover, was sacrificed [b]for us. 8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.” (1 Corinthians 5:6-8 NKJV)
Luke 22:14-23 also tells of this special evening. I read from the New King James Version (NKJV)
“14 When the hour had come, He sat down, and the [a]twelve apostles with Him. 15 Then He said to them, “With fervent desire I have desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer; 16 for I say to you, I will no longer eat of it until it is fulfilled in the kingdom of God.”
17 Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and said, “Take this and divide it among yourselves; 18 for I say to you, [b]I will not drink of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God comes.”
19 And He took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.”
20 Likewise He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is shed for you. 21 But behold, the hand of My betrayer is with Me on the table. 22 And truly the Son of Man goes as it has been determined, but woe to that man by whom He is betrayed!”
23 Then they began to question among themselves, which of them it was who would do this thing.” (Luke 22:14-23 NKJV)
THIS LIE CONCERNING THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN “EASTER” /”PASSOVER” AND RESURRECTION SUNDAY THAT HAS BEEN TAUGHT MUST BE CORRECTED IN THE CHURCHES! WHEN YOU SEND OUT CARDS THAT SAY, “HAPPY EASTER” YOU ARE REALLY SAYING “HAPPY PASSOVER.” YOU ARE NOT SAYING “HAPPY RESURRECTION SUNDAY” UNLESS YOU STATE IT THAT WAY.

THAT MEANS HE WASN’T 30 YEARS OLD YET, BUT HE SOON WOULD BE! IT WAS WARM ENOUGH WEATHER TO BE BAPTIZED THEN AND IT WASN’T DURING THE COLD RAINY SEASON IN ISRAEL – IT WAS IN THE SPRING! MORE PROOFS ARE GIVEN IN THIS TEACHING!
